United Methodists profess the historic Christian faith. We encourage you to read more at the website of the United Methodist Church - or to attend our worship services or other programs and ask lots of questions. Go ahead - be nosy!
• How do I get involved at Fayetteville FUMC?
Opportunities for involvement - from small groups and volunteer opportunities to missions and music - are open to anyone who wants to participate, members and visitors alike. A great way to get involved is to attend one of our Explore More Classes to learn about different ways you can get involved. Immediate needs are printed each week in our worship bulletin announcements.
• What is expected of members?
We expect members of our church family to worship regularly, to seek continual growth in faith by participating in some sort of small group Bible study, to serve with your hands by volunteering to serve in the church and community, and to give in proportion to your income.
• How do I join Fayetteville FUMC?
If you are considering membership at our church, the first step is to attend one of our Explore More Classes, where you'll learn more about the church, get to know our pastors and staff, and review expectations regarding membership.
• When and where are your worship experiences?
The first worship service begins at 8:30 and takes place in the Christian Life Center (the CLC is located at the corner of Main Avenue and Edison Street). This is a contemporary worship service featuring the music of our SonRise Praise Band. The dress and the atmosphere is casual.
The second worship experience begins at 11:00 and is in the church sanctuary (the sanctuary is located on North Elk Avenue). This is a traditional worship service where some of the great hymns of the faith are sung, some of the historical creeds of the church are spoken, and music is provided by our beautiful pipe organ. This service also features an anthem by our gifted Chancel Choir.
