First United Methodist Church has been active in regional missions for over fifteen years. Some of our mission work has included the Tennessee Outreach Project and Project Serve in Washington, D.C. We have performed hurricane relief work all along the Gulf Coast, tornado relief in Alabama, helping rebuild after fires in East Tennessee. Whether you are a skilled carpenter or just have a servant heart, you can be a blessing to so many. Our team has ranged in age from 10 to over 70, and it doesn’t matter if you swing a hammer or cook a meal. We pray each year about where the Lord wants us to serve, and each year He has blessed us beyond measure. We stay for one week.
